A new revenue generator? Chitika for domains
March 6th, 2008
30 commentsHere we are at it again; exploring new ways to help our publishers earn more with less work. Chitika is looking into offering a “Chitika for domains” service so you can also earn CPC revenue from your parked domains. Hundreds of premium publishers are currently using Chitika | ShopLinc stores to generate revenue. This service would also be a great customizable service for your parked domains.
We are interesting in finding out how many publishers would be benefit from this type of service. With enough interest in this service Chitika could start offering this to their publishers. Example ShopLincs
Got domains? How many domains you own?

Yes, I’m interested. I have a dozen or so domains.

Unused domains can generate a poor quality traffic. But if the rest of the account is not going to be adversely affected, I’m all for it.

I think this is an idea with a lot of potential.
Domainers are always looking for ways to monetize their domain name portfolios.
Do you plan to offer this service to UK domainers and for .UK domain names?

[...] Just a few weeks ago we posted a poll asking how many of our publishers would be interested in a version of our ShopLinc product as a CPC revenue source for their parked domains. Jeff,
Do you allowe arbitrage traffic? I always would to try something new.
March 31st, 2008 at 11:37 am
Divid,
Just keep in mind that irrelevant arbitrage traffic may not convert well for you. We have noticed that the relevance and quality are usually effected when publishers purchase low ppc keywords then direct them to high cpc unrelated keywords.
Although we pay on a cost per click basis, we are constantly evaluating and monitoring the quality of the traffic in our network based on direct feedback from our merchant partners.

Forgive my scepticism but can you tell me why would Chitika For Domains be better than creating my own minisites and run Adsense on the domains instead of having them parked?
April 18th, 2008 at 3:36 pm
Hi Domain Name Jim,
It’s really a preference choice.. If you want to spend a lot of time setting up the page with all of your ads you can.. with our service you simply choose a category of products and we will do all the work for you.

Being a domainer Adsense can place you in a low earning box because of other domains in your account that are not doing so well.
Alot of publishers and domainers are looking for another service (better)and if you guys start this I think you will be almost swamped if not overwhelmed with publishers and domainers alike
Let it begin!
