A CPC store for your parked domains
March 26th, 2008
52 commentsJust a few weeks ago we posted a poll asking how many of our publishers would be interested in a version of our ShopLinc product as a CPC revenue source for their parked domains. We received many emails and positive feedback along with the poll resulting in 92% interest in a “Chitika for Domains” service.
So, we got started right away developing this for our publishers. Now you can put your very own Chitika CPC store up in 3 easy steps.
To get started, first:
Click the “Domains” tab
Complete 3 easy steps and click “Preview” or “Save this Store”
Need help getting started? Chitika For Domains FAQ’S.
What cool about Chitika For Domains
1. $$$ Get paid on the first click! Other solutions typically show text listings of products or services which usually pay after a 2 or more click through from the visitor.
2. Kick-ass look and feel! This has a different and refreshing look and feel featuring a variety of products, offers and promotions, as opposed to regular “vanilla” dead-end pages with many boring links.

To be honest, I’d prefer a second option linked to this new service. Instead of having to use it only on parked domains; allow us to setup a store like it is now but generate a link we can use on our subdomains…e.g shop.bidders.co.za
We can then create a php file and put the code in like this to generate the page on the subdomain:
For example.
This is a wonderful service but it will become very limited to people who want to use it as an addition to their existing sites.
While Shoplincs may be nice, it lacks the customization that this new service offers.

I’m testing this for http://www.BUY.NU but at this date, the header is not working properly. Instead of showing my header text I see “Chitika for domains”.
Please fix it and thank you.

Emil is right, something has to be done so that a unique title tag is put on the sites based on the domain name…or give us the option of changing the title tag.

Parking Options for your Unused Domains…

I like Chitika affiliate program
March 28th, 2008 at 12:17 pm
Shaun,
You will soon be able to customize your domain pages to look more like ShopLinc with your header, etc.
March 28th, 2008 at 12:18 pm
The problem Emil is having is that once you create your domain page, it will take until that night (12am EST) for us to update your page with your header. And once the changeover is made you can also make changes to the page, like colors, etc.

You said
“And it will more great if we can use this service for exiting domain using sub domain name.”
We definitely see the importance for this feature which is why we will be offering this very soon.

Thanks.
April 3rd, 2008 at 10:07 am
Hi B. Wells,
Are you asking about a referral banner/link? If so, we are in the works of creating custom Chitika For Domains referral links, in the meantime you can use our regular Chitika referral banner/link found in your account under Referral Program.

I tried signing up today and was immediately denied because my domain isn’t developed.
If this is a parking product, why is it a requirement that domains have to be developed?
April 4th, 2008 at 1:21 pm
Sofia12,
After you applied were you immediately prompted with a message or did you receive an email with specifics? If this was not your first time signing up with Chitika, you would have been prompted with a message after you submitted your application saying we already have your app in our system.
Either way I apologize, customer support will be able to give you exact reasons to why your application was not approved or they can fix this for you right away if there was an error so you can get your Chitika domain store up and running. http://www.chitika.com/support
April 5th, 2008 at 2:56 am
Thanks, I’ll contact support. I received two emails: one saying that my application was received and I’m hear within a couple days if it was approved or not. And, another saying that I was denied. I figured it was some kind of glitch so thanks for confirming that and helping me out.
April 7th, 2008 at 1:54 pm
Hi,
I’m back…
Submitted a support ticket last week but nothing is happening with it.
Can you please post the exact URL where I can signup for the Domain Parking program?
The link where I signed up (and was denied) is:
http://chitika.com/application.php?type=mm
Any suggestions on how I can get going with this?

Hello,
I am a publisher with Chitika and I would like to know if it is ok to promote our parked chitika domains through links from our websites? (I know this is something that other web parking services don’t allow) What are the legitimate sources of traffic for chitika parked domains and is there a limit on how many domains you can park?
Thanks
April 22nd, 2008 at 3:14 pm
Hi cheikh,
It is ok to make a general link to your domain page in order to get traffic. We however do not allow purchased traffic to be promoted to your page. There is no limit to the number of Chitika domain pages you can park.

Assuming either the Left Wing or the Right Wing gained control of the country, it would probably fly around in circles.
