Nice report, Chitika team!
I got my own as a Premium Publisher and my stats are better in all categories.
If only my average pay per click was the same as it was a month ago, I’d be a happy camper. ;)
Anything you can do about that one?

Tomaz, The CPC is something we are working on .. but it is a function of the type of keywords you are getting traffic on. I have one publisher who makes $10 per click (he gets traffic on some finance keywords) and a bunch of others who get low min bids like 10 cents.
That said, across the board, we are seeing excellent CTR and eCPM rates for the premium units.
And as you know: The premium units works across all types of sites. So we are finally able to deliver to publishers who have sites other than electronics/gadgets sites — and we are seeing excellent adoption of these units on sites like finance, cooking, SEO sites, etc.

I use the Chitika Premium and also received a report. My click through is more than double the to performers average.
My question is related to the last post on CPC. I have included a keyword in my code that relates to my site. Is the premium ad contextual, would I get a better CPC if I left off the keyword, or is the results with the keyword leading to my great CTR?

It’s a good report and a good feedback. Thanks for the new “feature” :)

I’ve received customized analysis report in
my email tonight. So I guess my sites had significant traffics :-) FYI I have placed Chitika’s eMiniMalls along with Linx Ads on my sites.
Despite of 8,166 impressions per day which 46.54% of them are US Traffics and 56.05% are US Search Engine Traffics, I’m experiencing very low earnings from Chitika ($1-$2/day). My average CPC is only $0.06 with only 0.23% US Search Engine Traffic CTR :-(
With this poor performance I begin to think to remove Chitika ads from my sites…

Thanks for the analysis of my account. But as Indira has mentioned, I’m experiencing very low CPC.

Nice work, Chitika team!
Thanks, this report are very helpful for me.

Thanks for the analysis. But the fact is I have long stopped using chitika minimalls. So the report must be not accurate, since it was done just recently. My sites no longer display chitika script.

Funny part is that since I entered an alternate url, my impression count nose dived and an 0,08 cents cpc is very low….

[…] Publishers who got at least 1000 total impressions during June 2nd-8th 2008, should have got a detailed analysis report from me (Alden DoRosario, CTO) with customized recommendations. This should show key metrics for your traffic along with helpful links and recommendation tips. If you didn’t get this email, checkout the generic version in this blog post. […]

I’m using the 180×150 premium ads but they don’t show. Do they only do so when someone enters the site from a seach?
As I’ve corresponded with both Adlen and Ryan, the new ads are not working at my site. Income has dropped 80-90%.
I’m wondering if I would be better off using the non-premium ads. Atleast they would show to everyone visiting a page.

Nice we impletmented this new feature, our return rate has decreased. The previous “Related Products” ads gave us a higher click through rate. Displaying related products to the current post seems to provide a better fit (visually as well). If someone searches for an ipod that google sends our way, I don’t want an ipod product ad to show on every single page they read.

@Timothy Spaulding> Is the premium ad contextual, would I get a better CPC if I left off the keyword, or is the results with the keyword leading to my great CTR?
The premium ad uses the chitika behavioral profile. You putting a keyword in the ad has no implication. The high CTR is because the behavioral profile (which is mostly keywords from search engine traffic) is working.

@Ades - So the report must be not accurate, since it was done just recently
Ades, the analysis was done with data from 2nd to 8th june 2008. You must be having the code on some of your pages.
