Introducing the New Chitika MEGA-Unit: 4x More Clicks/Revenue

May 18th, 2009
101 comments

Hey everyone - I want to introduce the newest addition to the Chitika | Premium lineup - the 550×250 MEGA-Unit.  Across our network right now, the MEGA-Unit’s CTR is 4 times higher than our other Premium units - so you can see why we are excited about it!  I want to answer some important questions about it here on the blog:

What is the MEGA-Unit?

It’s our newest Chitika | Premium unit, and it’s really BIG!  Take a look:

Why should you use this?

Across the board, our new MEGA-Unit is adding a massive increase in clicks and revenue:

  • AskDaveTaylor.com increased his Chitika earnings from $85/month to $2000/month by adding the new MEGA-Unit to his site (Dave talks about this in greater detail on his site).

  • ArticleAlley.com added the new MEGA-Unit and reports that “The result was a massive 721% increase in income -  without any noticeable knock on effect to our other income providers.”  - Adrian from ArticleAlley.com

  • Couponmom.com added the MEGA-Unit to just 1 of her pages, and immediately doubled her eCPM and revenue.

How do I get it?

If you have a Chitika account, you can get the unit by clicking here, then choosing the 550×250 “MEGA-Unit” from the drop-down.
If you don’t have a Chitika account, click here to sign up.

Where should I place the MEGA-Unit on my site?

We are seeing it work best placed directly above or below the main content.  For example, you can see where ArticleAlley.com put it on this page (scroll to bottom of article).

Try the new Chitika | Premium MEGA-Unit now!

What do you think about this?  Leave us a comment below!

I hope what you have written is true. As I really want that 4X improvement in CTR.
    Always love Chitika.

  3. Blog Tactic Says:

Got problem when I have chitika and bidvertiser ads codes co-exist in the same post. It result in script error.

  4. Ina Basu Says:

I am having any problems yet. I will watch for my CTR in next few days. Guys I will be the first one to complain if I don’t see any improvements. LoL.

    I love Chitika.

  5. untreatable Says:

It would be a great thing to see the 4X increase though I am a little bit skeptic but going to give it a shot on a number of my blogs.

  6. Check1 Says:

How do you get the “Sponsored Results” to show at the top, above the links, with this new MEGA-Unit ad block like in the referenced site (articlealley.com/article_884407_29.html). Mine only show up at the bottom.

  7. Tinh Says:

It is a great addon but unfortunately it is not for my country

  8. Lawrence Says:

Nice Idea,But my Website’s lay out does not suit with the ad-units of 550×250 Size.

  9. Ryan Says:

@Blog Tactic - hmm that sounds strange - we haven’t had any complaints about that. Please contact out support team for help with that:
    https://chitika.com/support/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=submit

@Check1 - That is a custom version of the MEGA-Unit that we enable for publishers who get a large amount of very high-quality traffic. If you get more than 10,000 search impressions from the US or CA, then you may be eligible for this - feel free to shoot me an email at ryan[at]chitika[dot]com if you feel you are eligible.

@Tinh - Anyone from any country can use the MEGA-Unit! :) As long as you are getting your search traffic from the US or CA, then it doesn’t matter what country you live in.

@Lawrence - We have some more sizes coming. Feel free to let us know what sizes you’d like to see - if enough users want a certain size, we’ll make it!

  10. Ina Basu Says:

My CTR Dropped from 1.41% to 0.86% after switching to Mega.

I will keep checking for few more days.

  11. Ina Basu Says:

    Hey Ryan,
Do you mean 10,000 search traffic a day? Let me know please. I am also interested for a Sponsored results units.

  12. blued888 Says:

Trying this new MEGA-Unit on my site. Hopefully it brings good revenue.

  13. James Says:

I’ve been running the Mega ad unit for the last three days and have definitely seen a huge increase in both CTR and revenue. It’s getting about 5X the CTR over the unit that was there before. We’ll see if that continues, but so far so good. Nice job Chitika! I wish other networks were as creative in their ad sizing.

I’m going to be implementing the unit on other sites in my network and hopefully the improved results will hold true.

  14. Ina Basu Says:

Wonderful James. Hope too see the same at my websites too.

    Bless me Chitika!

  15. Anthony Says:

    @James

What site are you using the Mega Unit on? Is it possible to have a look at your placement?

  16. Rona Says:

Are there any problems implementing it with Adsense? I believe they do not want you to use the same colour combinations - which is a bit annoying!

  17. Ryan Says:

@James - great to see it is working out well for you :)

@Rona - No, just like all of our ads, there is no problem running it with AdSense - even with the same colors. This is because our ads are clearly labeled “Chitika | Premium”, and also look quite different from AdSense (we have images, and highlighting).

  18. James Says:

@Anthony - I’m using the mega unit on http://www.yourstreet.com. If you scroll down the page, it’s the unit that appears in the middle of the page after the first four stories, although you won’t see it unless you get to the site via a search engine. It defaults to an AdSense medium rectangle unit for cases where there’s no search involved.

I think the unit is performing well because it’s contextually located. Users naturally scan down the page and come across the unit. I suspect the CTR would not be quite so good if it was placed in a sidebar, although all sites are different.

  19. James Says:

@ Anthony - BTW, to see the placement you’ll need to click on one of the cities listed on the home page. The unit is on all of our location pages.

  20. Lawrence Says:

    Dear Ryan,
I will be happy ,if you introduce 430×250(Even 450×250) MEGA-Unit as it is most suitable for blogs.

  21. Check1 Says:

    Lawrence,

It might be simpler to introduce a 468×250 unit. That could save some bloggers and webmasters who are using the popular thin 468 unit from having to reformat.

  22. Check1 Says:

    Ryan,

The first example from the askdavetaylor site shows he had: “You Searched on Google for …”; but in the second screen cap that statement is omitted.

What kind of test results did you get for showing “You searched on Google…” and not showing it? How much difference if any does it make?

  23. Ishan Says:

wow.. this is such a terrific idea.. love it!
I played around with my content sizing to give this mega unit a kind of stretched towards side feel. Looking awesome. Will wait for a few days to see how it goes :)

  24. james Says:

I ran the new Mega Unit for a few days. It started off OK, but eCPM had dropped by over 50% when I pulled it. It was earning less than the Google 300×250 it replaced.

  25. Check1 Says:

I’ve been running the Mega Unit for several days. I haven’t seen a drop off in CTR or eCPM yet. If a site has value for advertisers, I don’t think there should be any drops; otherwise they lose, right? My EPC with Chitika is still twice what it is with AdSense.

  26. Ina Basu Says:

    Hello,
My CTR is back up but nothing like 4-5 times improvement. May be it improved like .2%.

However, my eCPM is reduced about 50% along with my revenue by the same percentage.

    Chitika Bless Me!

  27. Blogger Says:

    Hi Ryan,

Does Chitika still serve inline text ads? I wanted to run them on couple of my sites instead of Infolinks as my earnings with them have plummeted over the last couple of months after starting of very well in the first month or two, and I am no longer prepared to provide them with what amounts to pretty much free advertising space (its a niche site where such earnings per click should not be acceptable). When I preview it in the Chitika admin the links are not underlined, the same is the case when when I apply the code to the site.

  28. ina Basu Says:

    hello Blogger:
I have in-text links from chitika. I use it in all of my sites. My experience with infolinks is also not great.

  29. Anthony Says:

    @ina Basu,

What has your experience been with in-text links from Chitika?

  30. Ina Basu Says:

Chitika is great but more I use it, I feel like they have some sort of “running average” type PPC enabled. Like today if you make 5 USD with 50 clicks, you would earn 5 USD in 80 clicks tomorrow. What happens as you increase your no. of clicks, your eCPM goes down to keep the TREND of revenue constant.

This is little irritating. The eCPM comes back high again after few days or few weeks.

But, still Chitika is best out there.

Chitika Lynx is also great except it does not show up for international traffic. So, you need to use another in text advertiser for traffic from countries other than USA and Canada.

  31. Blogger Says:

    Ina,

When I choose Lynx and insert the code on my site, the ads do not show up, but its fine with the regular ads. Do you know whay this might be?

I feel I would make significanlt more with Lynx than Infolinks even though ads are only shown to Canada and US visitors.

  32. Blogger Says:

By the way, I would disagree with your view that Chitika is the ebst. I think adsense pays more on most types of sites judging by what I have read on various forums and persoanl experience (although my time with Chitika has only been a couple of weeks), but its not too far behind unlike some other advertising networks, but you may be having a better exoerience with Chitika, though.

  33. Ina Basu Says:

I sure many would agree about adsense with me. But I really think Chitika is much better.

Now I disagree with your comment that chitika is “not too far behind” from some other advertisers.

In my experience there are only Two adverting network that we can trust - Chitika and adsense. Again, only Chitika can fight and give adsense a really hard time. NONE of the other ad networks got that supremacy as Chitika.

  34. Ina Basu Says:

Mods please delete the comment by me at 7:50 pm today. Keep the 7:51 pm one.

I wanted to disagree but mistyped as Agree!
    thanks.

  35. Blogger Says:

I meant Chitika was better than most other advertsising networks and only trailed adsense in my view when it comes to cpc networks at least.

  36. ina Basu Says:

Ok..I can accept your last statement as it is possible that Adsense might perform better for you. For me, chitika does much better.

It was good talking to you Blogger.

  37. Blogger Says:

While I think Chitika CPM is very good, their support is not the best. I sent Chtika support an email about a very imortant issue about 7 days ago and I still haven’t heard from them. I need to know how to instal the Lynx ads as I want to use it on several sites.

I will be sending them another email today and see what happens.

  38. Ryan Says:

@Blogger - Did you send an email, or submit a ticket? The old email address for support is no longer working - you need to submit a ticket to contact our support team directly. You can do that here:
    https://chitika.com/support/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=submit

  39. Ina Basu Says:

Ryan has already replied within 5 mins of your concern. Do you know how long google takes to reply back? They do not even have anything like a proper customer support. I a waiting for their reply over a year now. All they do is send some auto generated answers most of the time or ask you to go to the Adsense forum to get help.

So, dear Blogger, I again highly disagree with you again about the support from Chitika. They are the best.

  40. Blogger Says:

Thanks Ryan for getting back so quickly.

Yes, I did open a support ticket through my Chitika admin.

What is happening is I am not being able to preview the Lynx ads and even when I insert the code on the site, the ads are not showing. The normal ads are fine.

  41. PB Says:

By the way, I would disagree with your view that Chitika is the ebst. I think adsense pays more on most types of sites judging by what I have read on various forums and persoanl experience (although my time with Chitika has only been a couple of weeks), but its not too far behind unlike some other advertising networks, but you may be having a better exoerience with Chitika, though.

  42. Blogger Says:

I have re-opened a support ticket entitled ‘I can’t get my Lynx ads to show up’.

Hopefully it will be dealt with very soon.

  43. Anthony Says:

@Ryan - How do I remove the Grey coloured border from around the Chitika Mega Ad? I’d like to use a borderless implementation like AskDaveTaylor uses here: http://www.askdavetaylor.com/are_ad_placement_and_size_a_factor_in_ppc_revenue.html

  44. Ryan Says:

@Blogger - Hmm that is strange - our support team is usually very quick to respond. I will take a look to see what happened to your ticket.

@Anthony - As I said in my comment above: That is a custom version of the MEGA-Unit that we enable for publishers who get a large amount of very high-quality traffic. If you get more than 10,000 search impressions per day from the US or CA, then you may be eligible for this - feel free to shoot me an email at ryan[at]chitika[dot]com if you feel you are eligible.

  45. Blogger Says:

Ryan, it has been dealt with now. Very fast infact today infact. Thanks.

Regarding the bordeless ads, I too wanted to implement that, but unlike Adsense, you can neither make the ads borderless nor use differnt colour urls to the colour of the links of the ads unless you are a premium publisher which is a bit strange as Google allows this for all sites irrespective of traffic.

Another option that would no doubt lead to a higher CTR with Chitika would be if the link text of the ads were in bold font, at least some of the times like Google ads. But I don’t think even premium publishers enjoy this previelage with Chitika.

Anyway, so far no complaints really as cost per click is almost comparable to Adsense, which cannot be said for many other networks.

  46. Glen Says:

For me the increase was not as big at least not yet. I made in 7 days what it took me 12 days before the mega unit. I will see how it goes over a 30 day period. Seems like I will like it regardless becasue of the increased revenue.

  47. Ishan Says:

Hi - I am using it since last few days, and it definitely gets slightly better CTR than Adsense.
However, I am facing an interesting issue with this. This ad shows up only when user has come through search engine. Otherwise, it shows up my Adsense ad. However, the adsense unit that I would like to use in place of this is the 468*60 sized. However, that leaves a lot of blank space on the screen as mega unit has already created a space of 550*250.

Is it possible to specify the size that unit should take in case it is showing alternate ad? In that case, I could specify the size to be 468*60.

    Thanks.

  48. ina Basu Says:

I am using it for 2-4 days. My CTP has iproved some but the eCPM has dropped a lot. It has been dropping over a month period now lowing my overall revenue a lot. However, my search traffic has been increasing steadily!

  49. Ryan Says:

@Ishan - Why don’t you just use a larger AdSense ad - such as a 300×250? This would probably perform better than the 468×60 anyways - you should give that a shot.

  50. Ishan Says:

Hi Ryan - thanks for the quick response. Actually, I am already using 300*250 ad in conjunction with this Mega unit.

However, I have seen that for below the title ads, CTR is much better for 468*60, than 300*250. That’s why I want to shift to that.

  51. Ryan Says:

@Ishan - Ah ok. Unfortunately you cannot resize the frame, so you’re only option to use a 468×60 there would be to switch to a 468×60 Chitika unit as well. I would recommend running some tests to see which combo performs better for you.

You can also try out the MEGA-Unit at the bottom of your posts - try placing it above your AdSense unit, and running it without an alternate URL (so it collapses into nothing if the user is not coming from a search engine).

The unit will work best in different places depending on your site - so it is best to experiment as much as possible.

  52. Ishan Says:

Ryan - thanks again for reply. You have made a good point - I will try it at bottom of posts as well. Thanks for this suggestion.

Could you pass this as a feedback to your development team that when alternate ad is being displayed, we should have an option to resize the space accordingly as well, please. It doesn’t seems like a big thing as just 2 additional variables can be created to hold alternate size, and your script can access those when it accesses alternate Ad URL.

Let me take this opportunity to ask another question (unrelated):
I have been using ads on sidebar as well: 160*600 ads. However, I do not see any revenue from them at all. Tried both adsense as well as Chitika. Could you give any suggestions around that, please.

    Thanks.

  53. Ishan Says:

and I would also love to have the border less implementation of this mega unit for bottom of my posts. I do not get 10K search traffic every day, but not sure why is such restriction there.. If there are so many smaller publishers asking for it, Chitika should probably consider making this implementation available for everyone :)

  54. Wei Says:

+1 on the borderless implementation. I would love to test it to see if it improves CTR even more.

  55. Piece a Cake Bakery Says:

I like it, can’t miss it! Steph

  58. jessie Says:

I hope this new ad unit will really increase my income. Am gonna try it in one of my sites now and follow up on this after a few days.

  59. Leo Says:

Hi, I’m new to chitika, but really like the idea of mega units.

But, it pays like *chit* .. for some reason i get associations :) any way, I was getting 4x more per click with Google AdSense, and almost same ctr. So now I’m actually loosing 3/4 of revenue.

Could you guys explain why payouts or CPC is so much lower compared to adsense? I mean, I really like that these ads only pop up when people come from google and not my returning visitors, but still, 80% of my traffic is from google…

Basically, if the $/clock does not go up, I’ll go back to AdSense as soon as I get time.

PS, don’t delete this comment pls. I mean if people will realize like me that they loose money, they’ll leave anyway….

  60. Check1 Says:

My EPC with Chitika is about 3x what it is with AdSense.

  61. Ryan Travis Says:

    @Leo - A couple things:

First of all - you should be using both AdSense and Chitika - you should not replace AdSense with our ads. Almost all of our users will agree that “AdSense + Chitika > AdSense by itself.”

If you read the rest of the comments on this post, and/or look at some of our many testimonials (http://chitika.com/testimonials.php) you’ll see that the vast majority of our users are seeing higher revenue by adding Chitika into the mix along with their AdSense.

My recommendation is to put AdSense back if it performed a lot better for you in that position. Then add our ads somewhere else on the page (your pages are very long - you can stand to insert a Chitika ad within the middle of the pages and also down directly below the content).

  62. Leo - Cool Flat Roofing Says:

    To Ryan,

Well, the CTR with chitika is good - actually a better than adsense, what i did not like was the EXTREMELY low pay for clicks. My average for yesterday was $0.18 per click. My adsense average is a bit under a dollar. So you guys just pay a lot less.

By the way, I just want to know why you guys pay less? Is it because you get less for these ads? Is google adwords auction system that good and with much more competition between advertiser, their PPC price is higher?

Any way - you got me thinking and here is what I want to know:

How do I use both Chitika and adsense?

    What exactly do you mean?

What is the best way to combine them?

Your ads are much more visible and just ask to be clicked on:) , so once I put your ads in, people pretty much stopped clicking on my remaining G ads (sidebar for example, and few remaining banners)

Is there another way to better combine them?

Also, I’m moving my entire site to WordPress, but it will work morte like CMS.
If I use plugins to insert AdSense, there will be less control over where I place these ads (unless I insert them manually into each page and avoid using plugins, but that is a pain in the behind :)

I appreciate any help from you guys

  63. udung Says:

i hope i will use this big size soon, i cant find the right place at my website… thank you!

  64. Leo - Cool Flat Roofing Says:

    Well guy,

I did some analytical work and it looks like on my site I have mostly the same publishers for both Ad Sense and Chitika.

Now My google eCPM was about $15 in May and 13.50 so far in June (consider the drop because of chitika implementation).

Chitika’s eCPM is is $4.15 and dropping (the only reason it is that “high” is because on one of the first days there was low # of impressions and more clicks… just an anomaly so far because it was a slow day (sunday).

Anyways, with such low payout from chitica, I have two routes to go now:

I will give chitika a try till the end of this week on our main site and after that, if it does not perform, it will only live on our blog.

I still want to know why for virtually same advertisers (i can list the main once) I get 4-5 times the earnings with adsense. Keep in mind that I actually loose money with chitika as it takes away from the adsense clicks…

Also Like Ryan mentioned, combining chitika and adsense - I did it, but because even with a mega unit (550×250) i can only use either a 300×250 of 468×60 google units, I do not see how that can be effective (neither performs well on my sites).

Anyway, I think the Idea is great and it works well, but the pay has to go up.

Ideally, I would just leave the mega units placed around the sites and not combine them with adsense, so that when it is not a search traffic, there is no ads. It actually works (based on data that I have for the last 6 days) but once again, the pay is very low…

  65. Paulo Paternes Says:

I love Chitika.com, I am very happy with the formats of the ads and with, the money that I am making. I use chitikas in all my websites.

  66. Ina Basu Says:

I love Chitika too. But since the installment of Mega Unit, my earning and eCPM is getting MINI…

    I am very concerned now…
    Ina

  67. Mike Says:

The Mega ad spot ctr is good but the cpc is really low and my adsense revenue has dropped by at least 60%.

But, on the whole I’m still making more money than before so it’s tough for me to complain. A little higher CPC and I’d be a very happy camper.

  68. Jordan McClements Says:

I am very happy with the eCPM.
Roughly the same as I get from Adsense.
All Chitika need to do now is to make premium work with traffic from countries other than USA/Canada..

  69. Mike @ WPThemes Says:

Can we use 2 Google Adsense blocks as backfill?

I tried using 300*250 + 250*250 = 550*250 as the backfill but only one Adsense shows up.

Am I doing it correctly? or is there some html code I need to get it correct?

    Thanks,
    Mike

Encouraging to see these results for bloggers and website owners. But my chitika ad is not showing in my blog for govt employees news ? Why it is so… ? Can any body help me..

  72. Karla Escolas Says:

    @govt employee

I browsed your site for a bit and could not see it either. Could you post a link to a page on your site where there should be a Chitika ad?

Or you could contact our customer support for quicker assistance.

    Thanks,

  73. Mike Says:

I don’t understand why my CPC fluctuates so much. It appears that as my CTR increases my CPC decreases. It also appears that Adsense has dramatically lowered my CPC now that I’m running the Chitika ads in conjunction with Adsense.

I’m not trying to bite the hand that feeds me, so to speak, just trying to understand how to squeeze more money out of my traffic.

    Any thoughts?

  74. sujan koirala Says:

i think it works all the think is true thanks a lot.

  75. Joe Says:

my adsense drop dramatically.. Chitika CTR stay as usual hmmm.. mayb it is not suitable for my site..

  76. Ina.Basu Says:

My income from chitika has dropped nearly 3 fold and dropping…page eCPM is getting lower and lower..I have tried multiple things. Nothing seems to get back to the cCPM I was getting earlier. Should I contact support or just think Chitika is not blessing me anymore!

Mega Unit is a Mega-Flop for all of my sites.

  77. Emmanuel DeFreitas Says:

I can confirm that the mega ads do indeed increase the click through rate and consequently, the overall income. I have noticed a very nice increase in income after implementing the new ads. I place them above and below my articles on my article directory.

  78. bobby Says:

I hope this will improve the income

  79. istanto Says:

hello please update chitika wp plugin, i need 468×250 format.

  80. Robert Says:

Comparing Chitika to Adsense for the month of June so far, after adding the 4x 550 Chitika ad unit a little over a month ago, I’m getting an average of three points higher CTR with the Chitika unit. Month-to-date, Adsense revenue is higher by about $3.00, however.

  81. jeremiah Says:

I experienced a 50% decrease after changing to mega units. I’m back to the mini-mall

  82. rendaga Says:

I used to get around $8 when I got around 38 clicks, but now I got less than $6 for 50 clicks?

I don’t get it. More clicks but lower dollar-per-click? My chitika income now drops:(

  83. poundforpoundking Says:

its big and nice but having a problem about its BG color. It didnt change to blend my site’s BG

  84. Ina Basu Says:

After more than a month of Mega Unit usage, I can safely conclude that it is a disaster for me. Income dropped >50%. CTR remained about the same or slightly higher. CPM dropping down to hell.

I am trying to go back my older ads. Hope that helps!

I’ll try Mega Unit ads starting today… and see if how it works. Hopefully, my earning will increase 5x… or best, down to thousand dollars a month…

  86. Mike Says:

WOW. CPC at .02!!! Ouch. Is this the same type of CPC I’d experience if I used a different ad size??

  87. Mike Says:

Also… why is it when I login to my account, my browser tells me the page contains unauthenticated content AND Macafee Site Advisor warns that Chitika.net will exploit my browser???

  88. Digitalmalay Says:

Hopefully i will increase mine too..

  89. Health blog Says:

Perhaps i need to start blend my google ads and chitika now.Previously it was totally awful.Let see the results then..

  90. novianti Says:

Perhaps, I’ll try to put chitika on my site to get higher monetize at my traffic.

  91. pakpoint Says:

These new mega units have decreased my income.

  92. rendaga Says:

Even though I manage to double my search engine traffic, my chitika revenue keeps go down. The pay-per-click gets lower than it used be, so basically the total pay recently is much lower than it used to be even though the number of clicks increased.

I’m very disappointed. If I don’t find any improvement on the next month, if the situation keeps like this, I WILL MOVE TO KONTERA OR OTHERS.

Thanks for all of your kindness, Chitika.

  93. A4D Says:

This is all very well and reading rendaga’s comment above must come as a warning to Chitika. I have seen it all before where we give companies our inventory and just when you think it is looking good the click through value begins to drop.

One thing must be understood, we are giving our inventory away and a user can only click once on a page and if we only receive 9c for a click then I shall soon be pulling the ads off my site.

I have experienced this practise time and time again and I believe that it should not drop below 11c

Adsense is starting with its rebound after losing faith amongst the people and I would hate Chitika to fall into the same bracket as most of the others however it seems to be following the same trend

I for one will not be adding the mega ad as your pay per click value is dropping.

and as for rendaga, don’t waste your time with Kontera, Infolinks etc but if you think you carry weight then apply to Vibrant

    Thanks A4D

    100% in agreement with 4AD.
Chitika CPM started dropping even few weeks before they have launched the Mega Units.

Since the launch of Mega Units, My income has becoming microscopic. almost 4 fold drop in income mostly due to lower eCPM. CTR remained the same.

I always had Chitika outperforming Google by 2-3 times. Now Google is outperforming Chitika by 2-3 times.

I am going to start looking for more alternatives.

  95. Gil Says:

I’m using a new Chitika MEGA-Unit for at least one month. I found eCPM a bit higher, but CTR is much bigger.
The only problem is the size, that not easy to incorporate into website. I found some spots on my website, but these pages are not popular.
I think if you can put this unit on popular pages you can increase your revenue significantly.

  96. A4D Says:

I actually use the 300×70 size quite effectively and because the size is different to others it works however the drop in click value does not justify more space/inventory being given to Chitika in the form of the MEGA display

  97. PUCCA Says:

I really like Chitika Mega-Unit, may be more interesting if Chitika Mega-unit can be used for non-USA traffic

  98. caroline Says:

Chitika is good, unfortunately you just accept US and CA traffic. It would be a gergious thing, if you accept international traffic, so the world will enjoy the chitika ads. This is my biggest problem with chitika, all I need to say is just expand your traffic!

  99. Kruse Internet Services Says:

Is there a Chitika Wordpress plugin? I don’t see one mentioned here. Be useful if there was one though.

I have chitika account from last 3 years but never used it. After reading many reviews about chitika Mega Unit i thought i will give a try and the results are really good. I never thought that any other advertising company other than google can provide me cpc of atleast 0.11 minimum. So far the results are good and encouraging. I will surely comment again once i use it for considerable amount of time.

Only one problem i feel the chitika is that it considers traffic only from US& Canada, why not Euprope too?
Hope they will enter into the whole world soon.
