On the back-end, we have recently improved our smart ad technology, which now only shows an ad when it’s most valuable to you as a publisher (when it can earn you revenue). When our system senses low-value impressions that don't have the qualities which could result in high CPMs or CTR for you, the ad will collapse. By only showing ads to your most valuable visitors, it will improve the overall quality score of your traffic and CPM.

New Slider Ads are Here

As always Chitika strives to constantly be improving and changing. Chitika is proud to announce it's new slider ad units. These units show multiple targeted products that cycle as the user remains on the page. The new UI increases user engagement which results in a higher CTR.

When this ad unit is used we see an increased in CTR by 3-4%. Currently only the 550x250 ad size uses this new format. Additional sizes will be launching in the upcoming weeks.

First Quarter 2015 Tablet Update: Samsung Usage Share Increases by 88% Year-over-Year

Between January 2014 and January 2015, Samsung tablets experienced the largest increase in North American usage share of any other tablet brand. Conversely, users of Apple's iPad, while still responsible for the largest portion of North American tablet Web traffic, now generate a usage share 7.4 percentage points lower than January 2014, and 10.2 percentage points lower than January 2013.
